Michael Mark is a rising sophomore on the Columbia track and field team. He was a member of the Penn Relays Championship of America winning 4x800m Relay team.

What goes through your mind as you are running your races? Although it is probably best to have a clear mind during a race, I usually think about how many laps are left.

What's your ideal setting to run in (i.e. early in the morning, cool, crowd watching, etc.) My favorite setting to run would probably be a twilight, summer track meet with a packed stadium and music.

What is your major and why did you choose it? Biology. I fell in love with it ever since I got to dissect a Pig.

If you could bring anything from your hometown to the Columbia Campus, what would it be? Of course...my car!

The coolest celebrity encounter you have had in New York City...I ran with Lance Armstrong for about 30 minutes in Central Park.
