Columbia Athletics Spirit Groups to Appear at Local Branch of Commerce Bank

NEW YORK -- As the Columbia football season gets underway with a road game at Fordham on Saturday evening, the Columbia Athletics Spirit Groups will be out in full force generating team spirit for the Lions with an appearance on Friday, September 14th.
The Spirit Groups will be at the Commerce Bank location on Broadway and West 109th Street from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Local fans and Commerce Bank customers can meet and take photos with Roar-ee, the Columbia mascot, and members of Columbia's Cheer and Dance squads. Information on purchasing game tickets and membership in the Little Lion Club will be available for everyone.
“We are excited to work with our neighbors at Commerce Bank and bring our Spirit Groups to meet some of our local fans”, says Barry Neuberger, Associate Athletics Director for Sports Marketing. “At the same time, fans can pick up information on tickets and Little Lion Club memberships as the 2007 football season is upon us.”
