
Volleyball Sweeps Quinnipiac, 3-0

The Lions won a hotly-contested first game, 31-29, with neither team leading by more than three points for the entire game. Quinnipiac led for a majority of the game until Natalie Gerling's kill made it 20-18 and during her serve, Amalia Viti and Cassie Ligh added kills to knot the game at 21-21.
Quinnipiac took a 28-22 lead as Kristin Corinaldes served for seven straight points, but Columbia pieced together a run of its own, scoring the next six consecutive points to tie the game.

Game two was dictated by the serve as Ligh opened the game with two aces and the game was close until Ligh served six consecutive points with three aces to the Lions the lead for good in the 30-19 victory.
Despite a late rally by the Bobcats to make it close in the end, the Lions had a 20-9 lead in game three and did not look back.
Viti led all players with 15 kills, seven digs, three block assists and an ace, while Gerling had yet another double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. Ligh had five kills, five aces and four digs, and Katie Mitchell had seven kills, an ace, two digs, a solo block and four block assists.
