NEW YORK ? The Columbia men's basketball program recently concluded two highly competitive and entertaining sessions of basketball camp. More than 150 high schoolers from across the country descended on Columbia's campus in New York City for several days of jam-packed basketball instruction.
Columbia's staff and other coaches from the tri-state area worked closely with the players, putting them through drills and a number of competitive game-like situations. Throughout each session, the high school athletes learned what distinguishes a student-athlete, both athletically and academically, at the collegiate level.
Head coach Joe Jones welcomed the campers and shared a number of motivational stories and experiences throughout both camps. He also concluded each session by thanking the players with a short farewell.
This year's lineup of camps proved a success and Joe Jones and the Columbia staff look forward to building on this year's achievement.
