
Kyle Smith Reunites with Portland Guard Patty Mills When NBA's Trail Blazers Visit Levien Gym

NEW YORK – Many individuals walk through Levien Gym every day and every week, using the three full-length courts to practice shooting, passing and dribbling.
Last week, it was the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers that practiced in Levien Gym in advance of their game the next day against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The Portland visit offered current Columbia head coach Kyle Smith a chance to reconnect with current Trail Blazers guard Patty Mills, who played for Smith for four seasons at St. Mary's. Mills in his second season with the Trail Blazers.
Led by head coach Nate McMillan, the Trail Blazers put the practice to good use as Portland defeated New York 100-95 to win its third straight game to start the 2010-11 season.
