No.9 Columbia Caps Opening Weekend With A Win At No.17 Franklin & Marshall

Lancaster, Pa. - In less than 24 hours since their season opening victory, the Columbia women's squash team adds another win over No. 17 Franklin & Marshall on Sunday, Nov. 23. The Lions downed the Diplomats 7-2 on the road to improve to 2-0 to start the year.
Five out of the seven Columbia wins came in straight sets. Junior Catherin Jenkins also put together an impressive comeback performance at #3 position. After dropping the back-to-back sets (8-11, 8-11), Jenkins rattled of wins in three straight sets (11-7, 11-7, 11-5) to take the victory.
Up next, the Lions will return to action on Sunday, Dec. 7 for their home opener against Cornell as 11 a.m. and NYU at 2 p.m.
