Columbia opens Kurtz Cup play as the No. 3 seed, drawing No. 6 Colby in Friday's quarterfinal in its postseason run. The rematch is set at 9 am on Friday, February 27.
Should the Lions advance, Columbia would face either No. 2 Georgetown or No. 7 Wesleyan in the semifinals with a trip to Sunday's championship on the line.
Scouting the Mules
Columbia earned a statement victory over the Mules, 8-1, back in November, where Sophomore Eva Salzman, junior Kaavya Bansal, freshman Isha Gupta, and junior Advita Sharma, first-year Charlie McCrone, and Cynthia Yu clinched the victories in their matches. Yu only allowed her Colby opponent two points in the entire match.
Colby enters the Kurtz Cup matchup fresh off the NESCAC slate, posting a 5–8 overall record with tests against ranked programs throughout the season.
