
Lin Earns 100th Career Victory on Final Day of MLK Invite

ATLANTA, Ga. - Winston Lin earned his 100th career singles victory Sunday morning as the Columbia men's tennis team wrapped up play at the MLK Invitational at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
Lin, a senior who calls Williamsville, New York home, downed Oklahoma's Axel Alvarez Llamas, who ranks 14th in the country, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, to tally the 100th victory of his collegiate career.
The Lions saw two other players notch wins on the final day of competition. Lin's classmate Max Schnur bested No. 50 Alex Ghilea, 6-3, 6-4, while Richard Pham defatted Austin Siegel, 6-4, 6-4.
Pham teamed up with Bert Vancura for Columbia's lone doubles victory. The sophomore/senior partnership took down Sooners' pair of Jose Antonio and Austin Siegel, 7-6.
Columbia's 2015 dual season gets underway in South Bend, Indiana, at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Lions will first take on Tennessee Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. before taking the court against Notre Dame or Oklahoma State Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.
