
No. 7 Dartmouth & No. 3 Harvard On Tap For No. 9 Women's Squash

NEW YORK – The No. 9 Columbia women's squash team (6-4, 1-2) will jump back into Ivy League play this weekend with a couple of road matches against top-10 opponents. On Saturday, Jan. 30, the Lions will take on No. 7 Dartmouth at 12 p.m., followed by No. 3 Harvard on Sunday, Feb. 1 at 12 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: In a rematch of the 2014 Kurtz Cup title game, Columbia traveled to No. 8 George Washington on Sunday, Jan. 25. After trailing 4-2, the Lions made a push to tie the match, 4-4, heading into the final match at the top position. The Lions comeback attempt would fall short in the end, as George Washington's Anna Porras came away with a 3-0 triumph to edge Columbia, 5-4.
INSIDE THE SERIES: The Lions and the Big Green put on an exciting match last season. The match remained up in the air until the final matches, but it would be Dartmouth that held on to edge the Lions, 4-5.
ABOUT DARTMOUTH: Behind three straight wins, the Big Green improved to4-4 overall 3-1, but remain winless in the Ivy League at 0-3. Dartmouth's run includes victories over then No. 7 Stanford (7-2) and No. 8 Geroge Washington (5-4).
ABOUT HARVARD: At 4-1, 2-1 in the Ivy League, No. 3 Harvard is looking for a number of wins heading into a busy weekend . Columbia will be the third of a four-match weekend that includes, No. 6 Cornell, No. 22 Colby and No. 10 Stanford.
