Hanover, N.H. - On Saturday, Jan. 1, the No. 9 Columbia women's squash team made program history with an upset win over No. 7 Dartmouth, 6-3, to defeat the Big Green for the first time. The victory gave the Lions its first multiple win season in the Ivy League and second top-10 triumph.
Columbia grabbed wins in the top three positions, including #1 Colette Sultana (3-2), #2 Reyna Pacheco (3-1) and #3 Catherine Jenkins. After dropping the first two games, Jenkins powered back to win three straight (8-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-8).
#4 Aisha Maity held off Dartmouth's Caughey for a 3-2 victory (13-11, 11-4, 12-14, 8-11, 11-4) and #9 Adele Bernhard deliverd ann impressive 3-0 sweep (12-10, 11-6, 11-7).
Up next, the Lions (7-4, 2-2) head to Cambridge, Massachusettes to take on No. 3 Harvard on Sunday, Feb. 1 at noon.
