NEW YORK – The No. 43 Columbia women's tennis team returns to the friendly confines of the Dick Savitt Tennis Center Saturday, Feb. 14 for a 1 p.m. showdown with No. 68 Maryland.

RANK AND FILE
In the first ITA Division I National rankings of the spring season, Columbia was slotted 40th. Currently, the Lions landed 43rd in the national poll, the highest amongst the seven ranked Ivy League Schools.

ITA RANKINGS
LAST TIME OUT
The No. 39 Columbia women's tennis team was stalled by No. 62 Dartmouth, 4-0, in the ECAC Championship at the Reis Tennis Center Sunday afternoon.

ABOUT NO. 43 COLUMBIA (2-2)
Through three duals and the ECAC Championships, the Lions' ledger is even at 2-2.
On the singles court, Columbia is propelled by Kanika Vaidya's undefeated mark as the junior has split time on the second and third court. Rima Asatrian has also proved to be successful in singles as the first-year boasts a 2-1 ledger.
In doubles, Vaidya teams up with Adi Milstein for a 3-0 mark at the third position.
ABOUT NO. 68 MARYLAND (2-3)
The Terps have played a challenged road schedule having competed against four times ranked in the top 75 including then-No. 2 Florida to open the 2015 dual season.
Maryland (2-3) is 8-13 in singles, with eight different players picking up victories. The Terps have won half their single mathces on courts one through 3 with Alexandra Stanova and Nataliya Bredikhina each winning contests on the first singles court.
N. Bredikhina as combined with Welma Luus to be Maryland's top doubles pair with a 2-2 record. Ekaterina Tour and Kristina Hovsepyan partner up to be the Terps doubles team as the first-year and sophomore are 2-0 with victories in the second and third spot.
WHAT'S NEXT
Columbia makes the trip to University Park, Pennsylvania, next weekend for duals versus Penn State and VCU. The Lions take on the Nittany Lions Friday, Feb. 20 at 4:30 p.m., before taking on the Rams Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m.
