In the first ITA Division I National rankings of the spring season, Columbia was slotted 40th. Currently, the Lions landed 43rd in the national poll, the highest amongst the seven ranked Ivy League Schools.

ITA RANKINGS
LAST TIME OUT
For its second match inside the Dick Savitt Tennis Center this season, the No. 43 Columbia women's tennis team used the racquet of senior Crystal Leung to seal w in, as the Lions took down No. 68 Maryland, 5-2, Saturday afternoon.

ABOUT NO. 43 COLUMBIA (3-3)
The Lions sit at an even 3-3 with two wins coming under the roof of the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
Kanika Vaidya boasts a 4-0 singles ledger with three wins coming in the second slot. Senior Crystal Leung is an unbeaten 4-0 on the court, as sophomore Tina Jiang has split, 4-4, as the Lions ace.
Columbia's doubles teams that have the racquet of Vaidya on them have proved to be successful. The junior has paired up with first-year Adi Milstein for a 5-0 mark at No. 3 and with rookie Rima Asatrian (1-0) in the Lions latest match on the second court.
ABOUT PENN STATE (1-5)
The Nittany Lions snapped a five-match skid in its home opener versus Pittsburgh February 4 to hold a 1-5 record heading into play Friday.
On the singles court, Penn State has three players with .500 records in Taylor Skukow, Kim Surin and Samantha Tutelman. Skukow and Surin have played exclusively at six and five, respectively, while Tutelman has split times on the fifth and six courts. Victoria Kisialeva has seen all of the top spot action and is 2-3 on the season.
Roles reverse in doubles as two tandems are 4-1 with Kisialeva and Dasha Sapogova making up the No. 1 duo and Devan McCluskey and Surin teaming up for the No. 2 pair.
ABOUT VCU (6-3)
After opening the season with a 6-1 defeat to then-No. 6 Virginia, the Rams used a 6-0 performance, which featured three 5-0 sweeps, at its own Invitational to build momentum on a 6-3 season.
Rookie Darya Berezhnaya led the way for the Rams on their winning streak as the rookie posted five single victories – one win at the top spot, two at the second and third positions, respectively. The newcomer also earned a doubles win with Ana Batiri during the streak to help rout Georgetown.
