
Women's Squash Travels To No. 5 Princeton & Hosts No. 2 Penn In Final Weekend

NEW YORK – This weekend, the No. 7 Columbia women's squash team (7-5, 2-3) will close the regular season with a pair of Ivy League matches. On Friday, Feb. 6, the Lions will trek to No. 5 Princeton for a 4:30 p.m. match, followed by the home finale against No. 2 Penn on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m.
Columbia will also honor seniors Kate Calihan and Alisha Maity who will compete in their final match at the home courts of SL Green StreetSquash on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lions split in two Ivy League road matches against No. 3 Harvard and No. 7 Dartmouth. Although Columbia was blanked by the Crimson 0-9, the Lions began the weekend upsetting the Big Green, 6-3. Columbia defeated Dartmouth for the first time in program history on Jan. 31,which gave the Lions its first multiple win season in the Ivy League and its second top-10 triumph.
INSIDE THE SERIES: The Lions and the Big Green put on an exciting match last season. The match remained up in the air until the final matches, but it would be Dartmouth that held on to edge the Lions, 4-5.
ABOUT PRINCETON: Behind three straight wins, the Tigers are 8-2 overall and 3-2 in league play. Princeton's run includes victories over then No. 7 Stanford (9-0), No. 11 Brown (9-0), and edging No. 4 Yale (5-4) in as many days last weekend.
ABOUT PENN: At 11-1 and 5-0 in the Ivy League, No. 2 Penn stands atop the conference heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Columbia will be second match of the weekend on Sunday for the after the Quakers take on No. 6 Cornell on Friday.
