NEW YORK - Another big weekend of back-to-back competition awaits the No. 8 Columbia squash team with a pair of top-10 matches beginning this Friday. On Friday, Jan. 15, the Lions will travel to No. 7 Cornell for a tough Ivy League battle between two teams that share the same the record. Columbia will cap the weekend with a return to SL Green StreetSquash on Sunday, Jan.17 to host No. 5 Stanford at noon.
ABOUT CORNELL: The Big Red are off to a very similar start to the Lions this season. Both teams share wins over No.13 Williams and No.11 Brown, and losses to No. 4 Yale and No. 6 Trinity. Columbia will be the first home match for Cornell this year on Friday.
ABOUT STANFORD: The Cardinals (6-1) have won six-straight heading into a pair Ivy League road matches this weekend. Stanford will travel to Penn on Saturday, Jan. 16 before taking on Columbia on Sunday, Jan. 17. The Cardinals boast 5-4 victory over No .6 Trinity in their last outing.
