STONY BROOK, N.Y. – Stony Brook used a 24-3 run in the second half to come away with a 69-60 victory over the Columbia men's basketball team Saturday night. The Lions dropped to 9-6 and saw their five game winning streak snapped with the defeat.

Defensively, the Lions put forth a strong effort and held Stony Brook to 31.3 percent shooting to take a 36-25 advantage into the locker room.
