PHILADELPHIA – The Columbia men's basketball team used a season-high 26 points from Alex Rosenberg and a 64.2 percent shooting effort to top Penn, 93-65, Saturday night. The Lions (20-9, 9-3) earned their first victory at the Palestra since 2010 and the margin of victory was the largest win in the all-time series that dates to 1900.
Rosenberg shot 10-of-14 from the floor and knocked down four first-half 3-pointers. Maodo Lo added 15 points and six assists to go with no turnovers. Isaac Cohen finished with eight points, five rebounds and five assists.
Rosenberg netted the first 11 points for Columbia to help them take a seven-point lead just three minutes in. A Chris McComber triple from the left wing put the Lions ahead, 20-8, before Penn started knocking down some 3-pointers.

A 14-3 Quaker run made it, 28-26, at the 8:47 mark, but a Rosenberg baseline jumper halted the rally. Columbia answered by scoring seven of the next eight points to build the lead back up to eight and closed the half strong, going on a 10-2 run in the final 2:35. Maodo Lo's coast-to-coast layup with three seconds left in the frame gave the Lions a 47-36 advantage at the break.

Mullins canned a trey to give the Lions a 58-38 edge with 16:08 remaining and never looked back, leading by as many as 31 points.
Columbia committed just four turnovers, while forcing 10 by the Quakers (11-14, 5-6).

The Lions return to Levien Gymnasium on Friday, March 4 against Brown for a 7 p.m. contest. There are a limited number of tickets available. Don't miss out on the action, get your tickets by clicking here. If you can't make it to the game, watch it live on the Ivy League Digital Network.

NOTES:
Columbia reached the 20-win plateau for just the second time since 1969-70, the last time coming during the 2013-14 campaign… The nine Ivy League victories are the most for the program since 1993… Columbia's five conference road victories tie a program record last achieved in 1993… The Lions' senior class is the first to win at all Ivy League venues since the class of 1993…  Lo posted two steals and is just three away from setting Columbia's single-season record of 68, held by Sean Couch '87CC.
