Lightweight Rowing Advances at Henley

HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England - The Columbia lightweight rowing team is on to the quarterfinals of the Temple Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta after topping Bath University Thursday morning.
The Lions overcame a slight steering issue out of the blocks, but was able to take a four-seat lead early on. Columbia continued to break away from Bath, striding to an open-water advantage halfway through and went on to win by a length.
Up next for the Lions will be Oxford Brookes University with a berth to the semifinals on the line. Race time is slated for 10 a.m. ET.
