No. 7 Women's Squash Sweeps No. 11 Williams

NEW YORK – In the first of two weekend matches for No. 7 Columbia, the Lions swept the No. 11 Ephs 9-0 in front of the home crowd at SL Green StreetSquash.
"The women all played really confidently and played with a lot of purpose," Coach Jacques Swanepoel said. "This will be a good step for them leading up to Cornell on Sunday."
Columbia only dropped three sets on the way to victory. This marked only the third time this season that the Lions have shut out their opponent.
"We came in today really wanting to show what our team is made of," Sophomore Diana Masch (4-3) said. "Our 9-0 win today shows that when we are confident, and we are all playing our best, we really can do it."
Columbia moves to 5-3 on the season and has a chance to go for two straight on Sunday when they host No. 8 Cornell at 10:30 a.m. at SL Green StreetSquash.
