RSVP for the Columbia Alumni Association Post-Race Reception
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Forty-seven Columbia rowing alumni will compete alongside a lightweight four and a women's four at the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta this weekend on the Charles River.
The event gets underway Saturday at 7:45 a.m. The Rowing Channel will provide a live stream that fans can access by visiting www.rowingchannel.com. Results will be posted to HOCR.org.
The lightweights are coming off an IRA championship last spring. The varsity four competing at the Head of the Charles will consist of all first-years, including Richard Taylor, Michael Ritter, Tim Cervera, Jack Hartman and coxswain Simon Osak. They are set to go off Sunday at 1:27 p.m.
The women will send four junior and a first-year to compete in the championship four. Rookie coxswain Tteja Senthilnathan will direct a crew of juniors Sabina Maurer, Maryse Suppiger, Liza Ray and Astrid Walker-Stewart. The championship four is scheduled for Sunday at 1:38 p.m.
The Head of the Charles represents the only competition of the fall season for the lightweights. The women finish up their fall schedule next weekend at the Princeton Chase.
Additionally, the Columbia Alumni Association, CAA of Boston and Columbia Athletics is hosting a post-race reception at John Harvard's Brewery & Ale House in Harvard Square, walking distance from the Charles River. Prices include two drink tickets and appetizers. Must be 21 years or older to participate. To RSVP click here.
