Fencing Preps for First Home Meet

Fencing hosts NJIT, Stevens and Johns Hopkins this Friday for the Columbia Invitational; Matches to take place in Blue Gym and Fencing Room.
NEW YORK- Columbia Fencing hosts NJIT, Stevens, and Johns Hopkins this Friday for the Columbia Invitational. This is the first home meet for the Lions, taking place at Dodge Fitness Center on the Morningside campus. This is the first of two home fencing meets this season, the bouts beginning at 5 p.m.
So far this season, the Lions have been finding success on the strip. At the Temple Open, four gold, two silver, and five bronze medals came back to New York with the Lions, and last Tuesday, the squad faced NYU for their first duel meet of the season. Columbia dominated the strip, pulling ahead 18-9 overall.
