Men's, Women's Squash Edged by Trinity on Road

No. 1 ranked Trinity defeats No. 3 men's squad by slim 5-4 margin; No. 7 women's team drops 6-3 decision to No. 3 Trinity in Hartford.
HARTFORD, CONN- Columbia men's squash is edged by Trinity 5-4 after a back-and-forth match in Hartford, Tuesday. The men's competition came down to the last set between Trinity's Andrew Lee and Columbia's Krish Kumar. The match was decided by a 12-11 decision over Kumar. Coming into the match, the Lions stood ranked No. 3 in the college squash rankings behind Trinity, who held the nation's top spot.
Columbia's women's squad also fell to Trinity 6-3, which now leaves both Columbia squash teams with identical 3-1 records on the season. The Lion women's team also entered the day as underdogs with a No.7 national ranking, while Trinity held No. 3
This was the first match back for the Lions after winter break and the first match of a busy weekend ahead. Columbia's women face Stanford Friday at Noon in Cambridge, Mass. The women rejoin the men on Saturday afternoon against Dartmouth.
