Lions to Compete at ITA All-American Championships

Six Lions will travel to Tulsa for the eight-day tournament this week
TULSA, Okla. — Members of the Columbia men's tennis team continue fall action this week, traveling to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships. Hosted by the University of Tulsa, the eight-day tournament runs Oct. 5-13 at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The tournament begins with a pre-qualifying round, Oct. 5-6, and qualifying round, Oct. 7-8. The singles and doubles main draws are set to begin Oct. 9.
The finals will air live on ESPNU at 8 p.m. CT on championship Sunday, Oct. 13. The live airing of the finals marks another milestone for the ITA and college tennis as the ITA All-American Championships will air live on broadcast television for the first time.
Among those selected to play in the All-American Championships men's main draw is ninth-ranked junior Jack Lin, who is one of six players currently ranked inside the top 10 of the Oracle ITA Preseason National Rankings competing in the event.
In doubles, Columbia's sixth-ranked tandem of Lin and senior Jackie Tang will take the court in competition for the first time this season as well in the main draw.
