NEW YORK—The following items are pertinent to Columbia Football's Saturday game against Harvard:

  • Saturday's game is Heroes Day. Complimentary tickets are available for active military members, veterans, and first-responders for the game. Active military and veterans can access tickets through VetTix, an organization that provides tickets to events which reduce stress, strengthen family bonds, build life-long memories and encourage service members and veterans to stay engaged with local communities and American life. Click here to redeem tickets. All first responders including active and retired members of the NYPD, FDNY, and EMT can request tickets by clicking here.
  • All fans are invited to experience a fun-filled day which includes Columbia's Fan Zone Presented by Coca Cola. Presented by Coca Cola, the Fan Zone is located adjacent to the entrance of Lawrence A. Wien Stadium inside the concourse. Activities include lawn games, game-day face painting by the Columbia Dance team, photo opportunities with Roar-EE, giveaways and more! There will be something new at each game.
  • FLIGHT SIMULATOR: take flight and learn from the experts in a Marine simulator that will make you feel like you're right where all the action is!​​​​​​
  • FDNY TRUCK: Take a step aboard an FDNY fire truck and see the real gear that firefighters use in action
  • DONATE AND WIN: A donation drive will take place at all games for care packages to be delivered to military members overseas. Items that will be taken are: Batteries (AA or AAA), Hand Warmers, Socks (Black Crew Length), Playing Cards. All items must be new and unsealed. All those who donate will be entered into a drawing to win $200 to the Lion Store
  • DONATE TO THE HEROES TICKET PROGRAM: Columbia Athletics encourages fans to donate to this program that will provide these heroes additional opportunities to attend events.   • Former Columbia Football players Ed Backus '77 and Jack Gastler '78 will serve as honorary captains at the pre-game coin toss. A two-time All-Ivy League selection, Backus earned three letters and served as team captain in 1976. He is a Secaucus, N.J. native. Gastler earned three letters and served as team captain in 1978. The Portland, Conn. native played defensive back for the Lions.
  • The Columbia Football team will depart from its locker room to the field at 12:59 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to line the LIONSWALK (walkway) to the field.
  • Kickoff for the game is at 1:05 p.m.
  • Saturday's game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Lance Medow and former player Landon Baty '18CC making the call. A complete game preview is posted at this link.
