NEW YORK — The No. 13 Columbia men's tennis team returns home to wrap up its non-conference schedule on Friday, bringing in Buffalo for a 1 p.m. ET matchup.
All six courts will stream live on ESPN3 and the Watch ESPN app.
Columbia (9-3) is coming off a week-long trip to the Lone Star State, which saw the Lions compete on outdoor courts for the first time this season against stiff competition in UT Arlington, No. 10 TCU and No. 3 Texas. After defeating UTA, Columbia dropped a pair of matches to TCU and Texas. At this point, the Lions' only losses have come against top-10 foes.
LIONS IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Columbia's singles lineup features three ranked players, led by 16th-ranked sophomore Jack Lin. Senior Victor Pham comes in at No. 41 on the list, followed by No. 91 Adam Ambrozy.
A trio of Columbia tandems are listed in the latest doubles rankings, including No. 5 Lin/Jackie Tang, No. 12 William Matheson/Lin and No. 48 Ambrozy/Tang.
SCOUTING BUFFALO
Buffalo (7-6) is coming off a 4-3 loss to Western Michigan last Friday, March 22 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The doubles point was the deciding factor as both teams split singles play.
The Bulls are 1-1 against Ivy League teams this season after opening up their season with a 4-3 victory over Harvard and falling 6-1 at Princeton on March 9.
Columbia leads the all-time series between the two programs, 2-0, including a 7-0 victory against the Bulls on March 31 last season.
ON DECK
The Lions will open up Ivy League action next weekend with a pair of home matches, facing Yale at Saturday, April 6, and squaring off against Brown the following day. Both matches are slated for a 1 p.m. start at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center.
