Amy Ding Named William Terminello Award Recipient

Senior captain Amy Ding presented with William Terminello Award for second consecutive season.
NEW YORK—For the second consecutive year, senior captain Amy Ding was named the 2018-19 Columbia Women's Golf William Terminello Award winner, Head Coach Amy Weeks announced earlier in the week. The William Terminello Award honors the team's Most Valuable Player.
A native of Lexington, Mass., Ding served as the team's captain for the second straight year. She ranked third on the squad in overall stroke average (76.47) and registered a team-high five top-25 finishes in 2018-19. She placed 15th at the Ivy League Championship at 15-over-par (75-77-76-231). Her highest finish this year was a sixth place finish at the Richmond MatchUp, where she shot a career-low 72. She also placed 12th at the Wofford Low Country Intercollegiate, 12th at the Princeton Invitational, 18th at the FAU Winter WarmUp.
Last year, Ding concluded the 2017-18 year with a 77.78 stroke average (1,711 strokes in 22 rounds), which ranked second on the squad. placed among an event's top-25 scorers three times, which led the Lions. Her highest finish of the year was a fifth place tally at the Piciotto Memorial Intercollegiate, April 8-9. She shot a season-low round of 73 at the 3M Augusta Invitational.
A four-year letterwinner with the Columbia women's golf program, Ding is enrolled at Columbia College as an Political Science/Business student.
Columbia concluded its 2018-19 season with a third place team finish at the Ivy League Championships, April 19-21 at The Ridge at Back Brook in Ringoes, N.J.
