The 24-hour, university-wide online fundraising initiative incorporates all University schools and programs.
Columbia's ninth-annual Giving Day will take place Wednesday, October 28, 2020. This is a 24-hour, university-wide online fundraising initiative that incorporates all University schools and programs.
Last year, Columbia Athletics had incredible success:
· Raised $2.97 million in direct gifts, which ranked second among University schools and units
· Received 5,339 gifts on Giving Day, representing a seven percent increase from the previous year and which ranked first among University schools and units
By making a gift to Columbia Athletics on #ColumbiaGivingDay you can help our student-athletes #ROARasONE!
Alumni, parents, friends, and family, show us your Lion pride on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram (@GoColumbiaLions). Use the hashtags #ColumbiaGivingDay and #ROARasONE and we'll spread the word. Featuring your best Columbia Athletics gear is always a bonus!
Giving Day 2020 Competitions
Athletics will be competing against other schools and units within the University for a share of over $215,000 in incentive funds, which can be accomplished by winning the hourly challenges for the most gifts between 10-11 a.m. ET, 3-4 p.m. ET and 8-9 p.m. ET.
The varsity sports programs are also competing against each other for a share of separate, additional incentive funds. These incentive funds will be rewarded to the top-five teams whose community can account for the most money and donations towards the OneROAR Fund.
