NEW YORK - The Columbia men's basketball team will make its final road trip of the calendar year when it faces UAlbany Saturday night. The Lions (3-7) and Great Danes (1-7) are set for a 7 p.m. tip off on ESPN+.
OPENING TIP-OFF
• The Lions fell at Colgate Monday after the Raiders shot 58.1 percent from 3-point range and led wire-to-wire.
• Sophomore Zavian McLean became the first Lion other than Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa and Liam Murphy to lead the team in scoring this season. The sophomore posted a career-high 15 points off the bench.
• Columbia will host Sacred Heart Monday before going on a 15-day hiatus due to final exams and the holidays.

UALBANY'S STATUS
UAlbany will be playing its second consecutive and third overall Ivy League opponent when the Lions visit Monday night. De'Vondre Perry is the only player averaging double-figures at 11.5 points per game. Jamel Horton has been the Great Danes' main facilitator, dishing out 4.0 assists per contest.
INSIDE THE SERIESÂ
Columbia is 2-6 all-time against UAlbany and has lost the last six in the series. In the last meeting, the Great Danes erased a five-point deficit in the final 35 seconds to sneak out of Levien Gym with a 67-66 victory on Dec. 30, 2019.
COLUMBIA VS. THE AMERICA EAST
The Lions are 21-24 against teams currently in the America East Conference. Columbia's most common foe is Stony Brook, who it has faced 20 times. The Lions are 2-1 against teams within the conference, earning wins over Binghamton and Maine and falling at UMBC.
