
Maodo Lo '16CC Secures Third German League Title

Lo has now won three championships with three different teams. Plus, a look at Lukas Meisner and Luke Petrasek’s seasons overseas.
MUNICH & NEW YORK – For the third time in his five professional seasons, Maodo Lo '16CC is a Basketball Bundesliga (German League) Champion after helping ALBA Berlin top his former team, FC Bayern, three games to one in the finals over the weekend. Lo previously earned trophies with Brose Bamberg in 2017 and in 2019 with Bayern Munich.
Lo was limited to 26 games during the regular season due to injury, but averaged 8.4 points and 3.8 assists per contest. In the postseason, he played in all 11 games and posted 11.3 points, shot 42.5 percent from 3-point range and dished out 3.5 assists per game. Lo helped Alba take game one of the finals after netting nine of his 11 points in the final 1:24 to turn a tie ballgame into an 89-26 win.
Additionally in the German League, Lukas Meisner was enjoying his finest professional season playing for his hometown team Löwen Braunschweig before being sidelined with a shoulder injury. In 15 games before going down, Meisner averaged 14.4 points, shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc, and pulled down 4.5 rebounds which all were career-bests.
In Russia, Luke Petrasek '17CC also missed some time due to injury in his first season with Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. The former Lions' big man chipped in 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 31 contests (14 starts).
