WOMEN'S PREVIEW
The fifth-ranked Columbia women's team (7-3, 4-1 Ivy) heads into Sunday's match needing to win and get a little help in order to claim its first Ivy League title in program history. The Lions would grab a share of the title should they defeat No. 3 Princeton (7-2, 3-1 Ivy) and have No. 4 Yale defeat No. 1 Harvard. The match between Yale and Harvard starts Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Columbia has won two straight and three of its last four matches heading into Sunday. The Lions are coming off a 7-2 victory on Friday against No. 9 Penn. Senior Habiba Mohamed played in her final home match and stayed perfect on the season with a three-game victory at the No. 3 position. Mohamed is 7-0 in the No. 3 slot and 1-0 when played at the No. 1. Her sister, sophomore Farida Mohamed, swept Penn's Ashley Manning in the No. 1 match to improve to 7-1 on the campaign, including 5-1 in the top match. First-year Simmi Chan won her fifth straight match and stayed perfect in the No. 2 (6-0).
The Lions will be looking to defeat Princeton for the first time. The Tigers have won the first 11 matchups between the two sides since 2010. The last time they met was in 2020.
MEN'S PREVIEW
It's a battle between the No. 5 and No. 6 teams in the College Squash Association, as the fifth-ranked Tigers host the sixth-ranked Lions. The Lions are coming off a loss to No. 1 Penn, who remained undefeated on the season with an 8-1 victory on Friday in New York. Senior James Wyatt picked up Columbia's lone point and improved to 6-4 on the season.
Columbia and Princeton have gone back-and-forth in their all-time series. The Lions won the most recent matchup in February of 2020, 7-2, in New York to make them 5-2 in their last seven against the Tigers. Princeton won the first four matchups from 2012-14 and holds a slim 6-5 series lead.
