NEW YORK - The Columbia men's basketball team is back in action this Wednesday, February 9, to take on Cornell in Ithaca at 5 p.m. The game between the Lions (4-16, 1-7) and Big Red (12-7) is being made up after the originally scheduled January 17 matchup was postponed due to inclement weather. Fans can catch the action live on ESPN+.
OPENING TIP-OFF
• The Lions dropped games to Penn and Princeton over the weekend and will aim to snap a six-game slide.
• The Lions will return to Schiller Court at Levien Gym on Saturday to wrap-up its season series with Yale. Columbia has announced the athletics department can return to 100-percent attendance beginning on February 7 for spectators that meet the University, city, and state health and safety guidelines.

CORNELL'S STATUS
The Big Red split with the Tigers and Quakers over the weekend in Ithaca and sit in fourth place as the race for Ivy Madness begins to heat up. Cornell is ranked 13th in the nation in scoring offense and seventh in assists per game (18.0) coming into the week. Jordan Jones leads the team in scoring (11.5 PPG) despite coming off the bench for the Big Red.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Lions hold a 131-103 mark against Cornell, dating back to 1902-03. The two schools each held serve at home in 2020. Additionally, seven of the last 12 meetings have been decided by five or fewer points.
