NEW YORK -- Jonathan Suckow is a three-time First Team All-American. The junior diver was recognized on the third night of the 2022 NCAA Swim & Dive Championships in Atlanta, Georgia after qualifying for the three meter springboard finals less than 24 hours after advancing to the one meter final. Suckow earned fourth place finishes in both the one and three meter events, solidifying the best individual Lions' finish in nearly four decades.
Following a preliminary round, the top eight divers in the country contend in finals performing six dives. In both the one and three meter events, the reigning Ivy League champion produced the best individual dive score of all competitors, proving his prowess amongst the nation's best.
A two-time Championship qualifier, Suckow competed at the 2019 NCAA Swim and Dive Championships, earning First Team All-America honors in the three meter event. The Geneva native improved from his last Championship outing by one position in the three meter and an impressive 18 places off the one meter.
Jonathan Suckow concludes the 2022 season with pool records on both boards at Columbia's Uris Natatorium, Army's Crandall Pool, Penn's Sheerr Pool. He holds both Columbia program records and recorded Ivy League Championship records earlier this month.
