NEW YORK—Led by four players in double figure scoring and fueled by 14 3-pointers and 48 percent 3-point shooting, Cornell registered a 78-64 victory over the Columbia men's basketball team Saturday afternoon at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium. The loss concludes Columbia's 2021-22 men's basketball season.
 
Columbia honored its four-member senior class—Luke Bolster, Maka Ellis, Ben Milstein, and Ike Nweke—in a pre-game ceremony.
 
Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa led the Lions with 14 points, Patrick Harding finished with 12 points and a career-high 17 rebounds, and Zavian McLean contributed 12 points, all in the second half. Harding registered his eighth double-figure rebounding game of the year and his second-highest total in a game. De La Rosa reached double figure scoring for the 16^th time in his career.
 
Columbia battled back in the second half where it shot 56 percent (18-32) from the floor and hit six 3-pointers.
 
Cornell converted 14 of 29 3-point field goals in the contest, including seven in the first half and seven in the second half. The Big Red was led by three players with 12 points including Sarju Patel, Dean Noll, and Greg Dolan. Keller Boothby finished with 11 points.
 
Cornell jumped out to an 11-2 lead in the game's first seven minutes. The Big Red then went on a 14-0 run on a Greg Dolan jumper, Guy Ragland 3-pointer, Marcus Filien dunk and back-to-back 3-pointers by Filien and Boothby. At halftime, Cornell led by 18 points, but the Lions quickly cut the deficit with a six-point run.
 
With the win, Cornell improves to 15-12 overall and 7-7 in Ivy League play. Columbia drops to 4-22, 1-13 in the Ivy League.
