No. 56 Lions Drop 4-0 Decision at No. 49 Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J.—The No. 56 ranked Columbia Women's Tennis concluded its regular season with a 4-0 loss at No. 49 Princeton Sunday at the Lenz Tennis Center. The loss ends Columbia's season at 13-11 overall and 3-4 in the Ivy League, while Princeton improves to 11-10 overall and 6-1 in Ivy League play.
Princeton opened the match by winning the doubles point. Princeton's Grace Joyce and Maia Sung defeated Columbia's Akanksha Bhan and Anna Zhang 6-2 at No. 1 doubles and Neha Velaga and Skyler Grishuk won a 6-4 match against Jennifer Kerr and Shivani Amineni.
The Tigers claimed three singles matches as Velaga won a 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles over Anna Zhang, No. 47 ranked Victoria Hu defeated Jennifer Kerr 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3, and No. 78 Brianna Shvets won a 6-2, 7-5 match over Melissa Sakar at No. 4 singles.
Columbia closes out its regular season after winning three of its last four matches.
