Student-Athletes Recognized at 2022 Academic Achievement Ceremony

A total of 493 student-athletes garner honors for academic achievement during Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.

NEW YORK—Columbia University Athletics recognized 451 Dean's List and 197 student-athletes for achieving a perfect 4.0 term grade point average in its Academic Achievement Ceremony which was held last Tuesday, May 3.

Hosted by Columbia Athletics' Success Through Well-Being department, the 2022 Academic Achievement Ceremony brought together student-athlete honorees, coaches, department staff, University constituents, and alumni guests for special recognition of the academic excellence achieved by Columbia student-athletes.

The event featured a total of 493 student-athletes from all 31 varsity sports programs and four undergraduate colleges that achieved Dean's List and 4.0 status. Additionally, 138 student-athletes were inducted into the 4.0 club.

Student-athletes honored at the event represented spring 2021 and fall 2021 semesters. The list of all honorees is posted in the event program.

"We are proud to honor all of our student-athletes who have achieved remarkable success in the classroom with the annual Academic Achievement Ceremony," Campbell Family Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Peter Pilling said. "We want to thank our student-athletes for their achievements. We celebrate your success and we are grateful that you are part of the great Columbia Athletics team."
