Max Schnur '15CC Wins First Round Match at Wimbledon

Schnur and partner Robert Galloway advance in gentlemen's doubles.
LONDON — Max Schnur '15CC and doubles partner Robert Galloway (USA) defeated Tallon Griekspoor (Netherlands) and Oscar Otte (Germany), 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 in the opening round of the 2022 Wimbledon Championships.
The pair will now face #13 Santiago Gonzalez (Mexico) and Andres Molteni (Argentina) in the second round on July 1. Court placements are forthcoming.

Former Columbia men's tennis standout Max Schnur '15CC will compete in the Gentlemen's Doubles draw of The Championships at Wimbledon, beginning June 30. Schnur and partner Robert Galloway will meet Tallon Griekspoor (NED) and Oscar Otte (GER) on Court 7 following the conclusion Ladies' Doubles play.

A four-year member and two-time captain of the Lions', Schnur contributed to two Ivy League titles and claimed the 2013 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championship Doubles crown. While competing in Morningside Heights, Schnur was named to Three First Team All-Ivy teams (2012-2014) highlighted by a unanimous selection as a rookie (2012).
