
Volleyball Welcomes Franky Rosseland-Harrison As Assistant Coach

Harrison was named to the 2022 AVCA 30 Under 30 Beach Volleyball Coaches List
NEW YORK — Columbia volleyball head coach Patric Santiago announced, on Thursday, the hiring of Frances [Franky] Rosseland-Harrison as assistant coach ahead of the 2022 season.
"I am overjoyed that Franky will be joining us at Columbia," said Santiago. "Franky brings a diversity of high-level volleyball experience, a tremendous knowledge of the game and is an amazing human being. I am confident that Franky will be an outstanding asset to our student-athletes in cultivating a high expectation culture that is driven by student-athlete welfare and well-being."
Rosseland-Harrison joins the Columbia staff after spending the 2021 season as the Head Coach & Director of Operations at the Sinjin Beach Volleyball Club. While at the helm of Sinjin, Rosseland-Harrsion was named to the 2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association 30 Under 30 Beach Volleyball Coaches list.
Before taking over at Sinjin, Rosseland-Harrison wrapped up her playing career, spending her 2020 graduate season at Duke where she played under Santiago while he was the associate head coach for the Blue Devils. While at Duke, Rosseland-Harrison saw action in 19 games, registering 116 digs and 17 kills as an outside hitter.
From 2017-20 Rosseland-Harrison was at South Carolina, where during her undergraduate years she was a star on the South Carolina Beach Volleyball team. A four-year starter for the Gamecocks, Rosseland-Harrison helped the program earn its first two NCAA Tournament bids (2017, 2018) and was ranked as high as No. 8 in the country.
She is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Rosseland-Harrison earned her Bachelor of Information & Communications in public relations from South Carolina in 2020. She graduated with a Master of Arts in liberal studies from Duke in 2021.
