NEW YORK - Columbia's 11th annual Giving Day will take place Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The 24-hour, university-wide online fundraising initiative incorporates all University schools and programs.
Last year, Columbia Athletics had incredible success, raising over $3 million dollars for the second consecutive year. Athletics also witnessed its best year to date in gifts, accumulating 7,035 on the day! The dollar total ranked second among University schools.

Giving Challenges
The varsity sports programs are competing against each other for a share of separate, additional incentive funds. These incentive funds will be rewarded based on dollars, gifts and donors to the varsity sports programs. Additionally, this year there will be a special bonus for Young Alumni (2010-2022). For the first 200 Young Alumni donors who give a gift of $250 or above, the gift will be matched by $100!
The bonuses the varsity sports programs earn will count toward this year's fundraising goals. The higher the dollars, gifts and donors, the more the sports program has a chance to earn — and the better Columbia Athletics does against its University competitors!

Athletics will be competing against other schools and units within the University for a share of over $215,000 in incentive funds, which can be accomplished by winning the hourly challenges including:
