NEW YORK — The Columbia indoor track and field team took part in the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invite on Saturday evening at the Aromry in New York, N.Y. The Lions came away with five individual victories in the competition, including four on the women's side and one on the men's side.
Amara Onyeukwu had a great day for Columbia, taking first in the 200m dash, finishing with a time of 25.07
The Lions' dominance in sprinting events continued when
Sydney Goldson won the 300m dash, clocking in at 39.70.
Alexis Knight followed that up with a win in the 500m dash, closing with a mark of 1:17.16.
Nate Gramentine represented the men with a victory in the high jump, posting a 1.98m jump.
Columbia made it a clean sweep in the high jump, when
Anna Jordahl-Henry won the women's event with a jump of 1.75m.
ON DECK: The Lions will be back at it on Friday, January 20 when they travel to Staten Island, N.Y. to take part in the Gotham Cup. The event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
