Naismith Trophy Watch List selection broke the Ivy League’s career 3-point record
NEW YORK – Columbia's Abbey Hsu has been named Ivy League Women's Basketball Player of the Week for games played November 6-12. Hsu averaged 22.0 points and 9.5 rebounds through two games.
Hsu made headlines this week when she broke the Ivy League's career mark for 3-pointers, draining her record-breaking 288th triple in Friday night's victory over Seton Hall. The senior from Parkland, Florida was 3-for-6 from long range and 6-for-12 from the floor in the win, scoring a game-high 21 points and securing a game-high seven rebounds. She filled up the stat sheet with three assists, three steals and a block.
Friday's performance came on the heels of a 23-point, 12-rebound effort in the season opener at Stony Brook. The Lions came back from 17 points down in the third quarter to take the lead. Hsu played a big role, leading all players in scoring and rebounding on her way to a third career double-double and second career 20-10 game.Sharpshooter 🔥@abigailvhsu became the @IvyLeague's all-time leader in made 3-pointers.#NCAAWBB x 🎥 ESPN+ / @CULionsWBB

This is the eighth Ivy League Player of the Week selection of Hsu's career, putting her in the top 15 in Ivy League history. She is two behind Camille Zimmerman '18CC and Judie Lomax '10BC for the most by a player from Columbia (10).
The Lions have a busy week ahead, hosting both No. 19 Duke and Towson this Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Opening tip for Tuesday night's game from Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET.
