PRINCETON, N.J. — Columbia women's squash's Farida Mohamed and Simmi Chan have been named First Team All-Ivy League. The league office announced its men's and women's squash postseason honors and awards on Wednesday.
The honors are the second in as many years for Mohamed and Chan, both of whom began their collegiate careers last season. Mohamed's follows a 2021-22 campaign that also saw her named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Mohamed tallied a 7-2 record in collegiate dual matches, playing primarily in the No. 1 slot. A native of Alexandria, Egypt, Mohamed went 6-2 on the top court and 1-0 in No. 2 matches. She defeated No. 1 players from Harvard, Dartmouth, Yale, Penn, Princeton and Williams. Mohamed is now a combined 15-3 in collegiate competition in her career.
