BOSTON, Mass. — The Columbia indoor track & field team wrapped up the 2023 IC4A/ECAC Championships on Sunday afternoon. In the three day event hosted by Boston University, the Columbia women finished in fourth place while the men finished in seventh place.
Over the course of the three days of events this weekend, the Lions had many great individual performances.
The highlight came when
Justin O'Toole, fresh off an Ivy League Championship in the 800m, took first place in the same event with a time of 1:50.17.
The Lions also had a three other second place finishers in Boston, two for the women and one for the men.
The first for the women was
Anna Jordahl-Henry who took second place in the high jump with a mark of 1.70. Her twin sister,
Julia Jordahl-Henry, placed third in the same event. The other second place finisher was
Nikki Vanasse who took the silver medal in the mile run with a time of 4:41.98.
The Lady Lions' distance medley relay team also took home a silver medal, as the group of
Lucy Henkel,
Seneca Willen,
Olivia Schmitt, and Vanasse clocked in with a time of 11:39.53.
Representing the men was
Chris Balthazar, who finished in second place in the 200m dash with an impressive time of 21:36.

The Lions will close out their indoor schedule this coming weekend, as qualified student-athletes will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the NCAA Indoor Championships. They begin on Saturday, March 10 at 9:00 a.m.
