PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia lost the series finale at Princeton on Sunday afternoon, 8-0. The Lions fall to 10-18 overall with a 6-6 mark in Ivy League play.
Princeton got started quick Sunday with two runs in the top of the first inning to take the early lead. The Tigers added a run in the second inning, two runs in the third, and three runs in the fifth to cap off the run-rule victory.
The Tigers finished the day with nine hits and eight RBI. Princeton hit two doubles in the game.
Bubba Gleaves,
Raquel Reyes, and
Maddie Souza were the only Lions that saw the bases Sunday. Gleaves drew a walk, while Reyes and Souza were hit by pitches.
Reyes (4-6) suffered the loss as she fired 2.1 innings, allowing five runs (three earned) on four hits. She walked two and struck out one.
Jordan Hill tossed 2.1 innings as she gave up three runs on five hits. Hill also walked two and struck out one.
UP NEXT
The Lions return home for a midweek matchup against Fairfield on Wednesday for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
