Lions Summer Squash Camp set for June 26-29
NEW YORK — Kenneth W. Torry Director of Squash Chris Sachvie has announced the dates for the 2023 Lions Summer Squash Camp, which will take place June 26-29 at StreetSquash in New York City. Campers will have the opportunity to step onto the court and learn from Coach Sachvie, as well as assistant coaches Nayelly Hernandez-Walker and James Wyatt.
The camp is designed for junior squash players who are interested in improving their game and getting a chance to learn from Columbia's experienced coaching staff. It provides a chance for young prospects to get to meet and experience the coaching styles of Columbia University squash coaches, train at StreetSquash where Columbia practices and competes, and visit Columbia's campus. Players will be exposed to different ideas and ways to train their movement and athletic abilities, improve their skill and technique, build winning tactics, and learn how to master their mental games.
The camp is open to any and all players, and campers of similar abilities will be grouped together. It is recommended campers have some training and competitive experience.
