Heavyweight Rowing Set For IRA Championships

Lions will race Friday-Sunday at Mercer Lake
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. — The Columbia heavyweight rowing team will race two boats in the 120th annual Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships at Mercer Lake this weekend.
Racing begins at 8:10 a.m. on Friday for the 1V8 followed by the 2V8 at 9:10 a.m. Fans looking to follow the action all weekend long can find specific watch links to all the heats and finals on the IRA Rowing YouTube page. Live results can be found here and ticket information can be found here.
At last year's IRA Championships, Columbia's heavyweight boats placed high enough to advance to the Upper Level Finals of their respective events. The Second Varsity Eight finished in second place in the Third Level Final while the First Varsity Eight finished sixth in the Third Level Final.
