The Lions' 2V8 boat picked up a win over Georgetown

FAIRLEE, Vt. — Columbia heavyweight rowing participated this weekend in the two-day Lake Morey Invite, hosted by Dartmouth.

The Lions 2V8 KCRA Spirit Boat earned a win over Georgetown in Session 1 on Saturday. Columbia defeated the Hoyas by roughly a half-second with a time of 6:00.3.

Columbia's V8 boat was narrowly defeated by Georgetown in Session 1, finishing two seconds behind the Hoyas at 5:53.8. In Session 2, Boston U swept both races. Then in Session 3 to conclude the two-day regatta, Columbia fell to Dartmouth in both the V8 and 2V8 races.

The Lions are back in action on Sunday, May 4, against Navy in Mercer County, N.J.
