Top-10 men’s and women’s programs slated for seven home dates
NEW YORK — The 2023-24 Columbia University men's and women's squash schedules were announced on Wednesday. The Lions will have seven home competition dates at the SL Green StreetSquash Center in Harlem.
Columbia's squash teams, which begin their 14th academic year as varsity men's and women's programs, will start off the year at home on Sunday, November 12, when they host Virginia at 12 noon. In fact, Columbia's first three men's matches and three of its first four women's matches come at home, hosting St. Lawrence (Nov. 19) and Drexel (Dec. 3).
After breaking for exams and the holidays, the Lions return to action on Friday, January 19, when they open up Ivy League action at Princeton. Their three Ivy League home matches will come against Penn (Jan. 21), Yale (Jan. 27) and Cornell (Feb. 11) in the regular-season finale. A non-Ivy home match against perennial powerhouse Trinity is scheduled for Sunday, January 28.
New this season, the College Squash Association National Team Championships will expand to 12 teams in the A draw. The top men's and women's draws will also now happen at the same location on the same weekend, Feb. 29 – March 3, at the Specter Center in Philadelphia.🗓️ Mark your calendars!
