Men’s Tennis Well-Represented at ITA All-American Championships

Columbia will have 10 individuals and three doubles teams competing
TULSA, Okla. – The Columbia men's tennis team will have 10 individuals and three doubles teams competing at the ITA All-American Championships starting Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa and Case Tennis Center at LaFortune Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Henry Ruger, Ishaan Ravichander, Jayden Templeman, Nick Kotzen and Sachin Palta will kickoff the weekend by participating in pre qualifying singles starting Saturday with a draw of 256 individuals.
Alex Kotzen, Hugo Hashimoto and Theo Winegar earned spots in the next wave of action for qualifying singles starting Monday in a draw that will consist of 128 individuals.
Michael Zheng and Max Westphal secured spots in the singles main draw and will begin competition Wednesday. The other eight Lions in pre qualifying and qualifying will be competing for spots in the main draw of 64 individuals.
On the doubles side, the duos of Nick Kotzen and Westphal and Ravichander and Ruger will begin qualifying doubles Monday in a draw of 64 doubles teams. Zheng and Winegar have secured their spot in the main draw of 32 that starts Wednesday.
The pre-qualifying draw will begin on Saturday, September 30th and will run through Sunday, October 1st. The qualifying draw will begin on Monday, October 2nd and will run through Tuesday, October 3rd. The main draw will begin on Wednesday, October 4th and will run through Sunday, October 8th.
In addition to vying for All-American National Titles, competing players are looking to secure berths into the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships, which will take place from November 1-5, at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, California.

Cracked Racquets is set to provide a simulcast of both championships once main draw play begins on October 4th. Fans can watch the streams by searching Cracked Racquets on YouTube or subscribing to the Cracked Racquets page to stay up to date with all of the college tennis coverage they are set to provide this season.
