BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Columbia women's fencing took care of business, winning three dual matches over Princeton, St. John's and LIU at the LIU Shark Showcase Sunday afternoon. The men's team was 1-2, falling to the Tigers and Red Storm before bouncing back against the Sharks.
Women's foil stole the show, going a combined 23-4 on the day. First-year Rachel Kim was 9-0 to lead the way.
Tamar Gordon also went 6-0 in women's sabre. For the men,
Jaden Callahan was 5-1 in men's sabre to tie for the team lead in wins with fellow sabre fencer

After falling behind early to Princeton, the women roared back to earn the victory, 14-13. Foil was the only unit to win their section of the bout, posting a 6-3 mark against the Tigers.
In round two, the Columbia women used an 8-1 rout in foil to pull away from the Red Storm, 18-9.
The men responded in a big way against LIU, highlighted by a 9-0 sweep by
