Wrestling Returns Home to Host Hofstra Saturday

Action begins at 11 a.m. inside the University Gymnasium “Blue Gym”
NEW YORK – The Columbia wrestling team returns home Saturday to host Hofstra in its second home dual match of the season. Action is slated to begin at 11 a.m. inside the University Gymnasium "Blue Gym" located in the Dodge Physical Fitness Center.
LIVE COVERAGE
Thursday's dual match will be streamed live on ESPN+ and live results will be available through TrackWrestling.
ACCESSING UNIVERSITY GYMNASIUM
For Saturday's dual match, spectators without a valid Columbia University ID or registered QR code will need to enter campus through the Northwest Science Building at W. 120th & Broadway. Spectators will be able to enter through the NoCo Building lobby doors and then proceed to the University Gymnasium. After the event, spectators should exit the Dodge Fitness Center by retracing their route through the Northwest Science Building to W. 120th Street.
LAST TIME OUT
The Lions are back in action for the first time since competing at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite earlier this month. Sulayman Bah, Kai Owen, Richard Fedalen, Cesar Alvan and Joe Curtis all battled to the consolation first round of eight in each of their weight divisions. Alvan secured an upset win via decision over then No. 22 Stoney Buell (Purdue).

Columbia will host Hofstra for the first of three dual matches the Pride will compete in Saturday. Following the 11 a.m. dual, Hofstra will head back to Long Island to face Morgan State and Nassau Community College. Hofstra is 2-2 in dual action this season with wins against Duke and Sacred Heart.
Saturday will be the 34th meeting all-time between Columbia and Hofstra. Hofstra leads the series, 17-14-2 with the Pride earning a 24-12 win in the most recent meeting on February 1, 2020.
