NEW YORK —
Phoebe Anderson won the U23 European Cross Country Championships this morning in Turkey.
"I feel incredible," Anderson said. "Near the end I just gave it my all. I'm sure my form was terrible but I didn't care. I just wanted to get to the finish first!"
Representing Great Britain, Anderson crossed the finish line with a time of 21:16, five seconds faster then Maria Forero of Spain.
Add this to the list of accomplishments and accolades for Anderson, who is fresh off being named an NCAA All-American after a top finish at the NCAA Championship which followed her Ivy League title earlier in November.
The Lions' indoor track & field season began this past weekend, and Anderson will look to continue her stellar season next month at the NYC Gotham Cup in January.
